As I sit and ponder my next great adventure, I quickly notice the abrupt change in the flow of the Ohio River.
When I first arrived at the studio it looked like glass with out a peep of ripples to be noticed. Within seconds I looked out and half of the river continued to hold steady, allowing the trees to reflect their natural beauty. The other half had began to dance in a sweet melodious manner. Swaying back and forth as if the life under the water was just waking up.
Peaceful, intriguing, fabulous, calm, breezy, not quiet but rather sound waves surrounding the area. Filling this beautiful environment with sweet singing of birds, jets zooming by high in the sky, a breeze rustling the leaves, AND what did I just catch a glimpse of? An EAGLE soaring in all her glory!
Have you ever stopped and thought what are my intentions? How do I want to feel? How do I want others to feel?

Do you know what GPS stands for? I didn’t until I began to research for this post. However, I do know what this fabulous tool does! I can tell you how to navigate it, its many choices of routes and its main objective. But I could not share with you the actual meaning behind the acronym, until now.
For a directionally challenged person, a GPS is a lifesaver. Take me to the nearest grocery store, shopping, or restaurants. Maybe you know the specific address. Type it in and several possible routes will appear. Allowing you to have an entire plethora of choices.
Would you prefer the more scenic route? It may be 6 minutes longer, but it has more twists and turns. Or are you a straight to the point person? Then the freeway route is predicted to be a shorter time and more direct route.
One of the best parts of the GPS is its sense of determination. Although it provides you with a wide variety of routes to choose from, based on your needs. It has a determination to reach the destination regardless of any detours thrown in its path.
Have you ever used your GPS while trying to maneuver out of a subdivision? Then once you knew your way home you attempted to turn it off? It is crazy! The statement, “rerouting,” appears continuously.
What if we practiced this type of determination in our lives? We set the goal and every time a detour appears, we do not falter. Instead, we keep on ‘rerouting’ until our destination is complete. Then on to the next great adventure!
Don’t let the detours stop your journey. Find the delicious sweetness within the pit-stop and allow the detours to be a blessing. Cherish the opportunity to choose your preferred route and keep on moving towards the destination.

Do you have a desire? Any desire? Determination to accomplish a task, earn large amounts of money, or win a race?
I can remember assisting my daughter as she first began to run cross-country. We would attempt to walk the courses before the race, to ensure she knew what to expect. However, there were always places we couldn’t reach. Usually those were the spots with an unexpected log, slick spot, or mud hole, you could drown in if you weren’t careful.
Darion would always worry about those detours, I would explain how to slow down and be more cautious, when approaching an unknown portion of the trail.
Although she is an adult and those days are long gone. She continues to push forward and not worry so much about the unknown. But rather enjoy the journey, at her own pace.
When Ashby began to run hurdles I thought, with track the visibility would be easier, creating less stress because they knew what to expect. I was proven wrong, time and time again. Sometimes the clear, concise path was more intimidating because the runners, knew the hurdle was there.
Why was this an issue? Because sometimes knowing what to expect, you continually worry about the hurdles, instead of the finish line.
While coaching runners to cross over to become a hurdler, I learned that many chose the 100 meters race over the 300. For example: one meter hurdles, Ashby was confident because she knew it was for just a short stint. It was not the entire track and was quick and easy (for the most part). As well as, many other athletes, who were more confident in the 100 meter, over the 300 meter. I always questioned why? It appeared both would be challenging, but simple enough to train for.
As I observed runners at practice, I watched them anticipate the hurdles, strategically placed around the track, they would fret to the point of physching themselves out.
Three hundred meter hurdles were more intimidating. They took more planning, time, and provided a wider view of the course, to run.
What if you had a family vacation planned, but the map came alive and demonstrated every possible hurdle on your trip? Would you still take the holiday? Probably not, especially if you were expected be far from home.
The athletes would do this very same thing. They would look at the long course, plan all the what ifs in their mind, and sometimes they didn’t run the 300 meter, due to fear.
In life, you already know there will be hurdles, along your journey of fulfilling your desires. But many choose to not continue, especially if they already know how many times they could possibly fall down, skin their knees or have a group of hurdles to jump.
As I assist people from all over the world. I realize life can be compared to a cross-country race, 100 meter hurdles, as well as the 300 meter.
Return to the opening questions. Do you have a desire? What is it? Once you have identified it, look at the end result. What pushes you to obtain your goals?
Now tell yourself…If I were running a cross-country race, I know there are spots that will be rough, unexpected terrain. However, all I need to do is slow down and look a few steps ahead. Glance up to see the dark spots on the path, but then return to directly in front of me and keep on running.
What if your journey is more visible and you can actually see the path? Remember, there will continue to be hurdles. Some will be bunched up together, similar to the one-hundred meter. Yet, others will be spread apart and all come up at once. Regardless of how far apart they are, they will appear.
Your job is to jump! JUMP one at a time and keep on dreaming. Keep on pushing and know that once at the finish line, you may relax. But only until the next race begins. Get ready? Get set? Gooooooo…….

First, let me apologize for yesterday’s odd post about politics! I normally do not talk about that because, to be honest, it isn’t a ‘good feeling’ conversation. I realize sometimes those discussions must happen, but do not worry it won’t be a hot topic on this blog, unless it is advice, that all of us can use 😄.
Ever have those days that you wake up and BAM!! It hits you like a ton of bricks! That sick feeling of (inhale then exhale) depression! Life could be just terrific, but to you it would be much simpler to return to bed, curl up under the covers, close your eyes and forget anything ever existed.
Congratulations! You are human!!! Did you know the most famous of famous and rich of rich, have all felt this way, at one time or another.
As I watched, listened and rewound to hear again the stories of the past 75 years of the Golden Globes, last night, I realized something. Everyone on this Earth has those days. As the cinematography experts, plugged in the ‘wrap it up’ segment of the show, I watched as many exclaimed how hard they persevered to come to this point and they weren’t stopping until they were done!
You know what? That’s why they were there, receiving that award! Because they didn’t say, “How? Or I am not good enough.”
Instead they said, “What and I am good enough, I am BETTER than good enough!”
I will admit I cried through the entire show, reflecting on the monumental times. The times when groups of entertainers, utilized their talents to make the world a brighter place.
Funny thing is, I woke up feeling a little depressed today. As I meditated, prayed and began again, the naggy feeling wouldn’t go away. So I explored why?
Skip this next paragraph if you have NOT been diagnosed clinically depressed…
(Before I explain any further, this is my disclaimer…If you have been diagnosed clinically depressed and have a prescription, continue working with your doctor and CONTINUE to take your meds! I know you immediatly want to argue with me because you hate taking meds, but trust me I know what I am talking about. It is okay you can still enjoy this journey and learn from my writings, classes and or celebrations and YES, I hope someday your doctor says, “You are completely healed” However, until then please continue your regimen. I have some new ones with my leg that ,grrrr, sometimes irritate me too, but it is for my healing, so I continue!)
Why would anyone, with all that I have and how blessed I am, ever be depressed? I asked myself. I have felt down times when something energy shattering has happened. That is a normal sadness…losing a loved one, focusing on lack of, feeling inadequate, you know, the normal sadness or depressed emotions throughout life.
So WHY do we, who have everything and are enjoying life, to its fullest, have these times, where you just want to go back to bed?
Of course, I had to look up the definition of depression…
Is it just me or do both of those definitions combine together to mean…Less Than?
Wow! Yes, depression means less than. Which makes a great deal of sense, even clinically diagnosed, have less than or too much of something which is to the extreme, creating an emotion of ‘less than.’
Hmmmm, could it be a depressed emotional state is as simple as allowing the mind to remember what you have lacked and how less than you are now.
This becomes more and more intriguing to me. If I woke up a bit depressed today, enough to say, “I just don’t feel good today.”
What ‘lack’ am I focused on? I am improving daily, have very few true worries, my family is wonderful and becoming more and more extraordinary by the day.
I figured mine out! Have you figured out yours?
At first I was planning on sharing my ‘conclusion’ as to why in the world I would be depressed! However, I am allowing you to have your own reason. This allows you to NOT have my experience to compare to. Whether your reason is a better reason or not. Because, pssst…your reason is good enough!
Whatever, it is you feel less than about, right now, I want you to go to a mirror and say, “I love you! You are enough and I love you, I love you, I love you! Go ahead! If you are at a crappy job, with a mean and degrading partner, or you are beating yourself up…it doesn’t matter at this moment, excuse yourself, for a minute and say to you, “I love you and I accept you!”
It works! It resets, the ‘lack’ that is deep rooted in your subconscious, to enough and acceptance.
Depressed? Don’t know why? Now you know why. Not saying a little down time, every now and again, isn’t necessary because it most definetly is! However, the sooner you can stop those emotions the better! So begin today…I love myself, I accept and appreciate me! Over and over.
When and if someone is degrading you begin to hum hum hum 🎶🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵 I love and accept myself!!! La di da…I appreciate me 🎶🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵.
Allow the beautiful words to be what you hear rather than the vomit, coming out of theirs. If you are beating yourself up because of lack, STOP.
You nor anyone else can change what has been. No one! Now decide, can I proceed in this environment, reliving the past or accusing myself of lack, for the rest of my life? Psssst, I will tell you a secret, If you want to be happy you must focus on abundance and leave the ‘lack of’ in the past!
So am I still depressed? No, just grateful for the emotion to explore and share!

My greatest hope…is if you are struggling with depression, you will search for where you feel less than and begin to accept you can’t change the past, so look ahead look up and feel abundant.
Today we say goodbye to our sweet God son Matt Reed. Although my heart is hurting for our loss, it hurts even more that I couldn’t help. Suicide is a difficult act to understand, what were they thinking, how could I have helped, was I not paying attention? The questions race through everyone’s minds when this kind of tragedy occurs.
For me, losing Matt in this fashion creates even more determination. I am determined to provide anyone who wants to live a life full of happiness, laughter, love and understanding, I will share all I know and learn.
My promise to you is to provide you with the proper tools to create a journey filled with whatever you choose. Yes, all of us have tragedy, sadness, negative energy, or incidents beyond our control. However, YOU decide how you live life. Begin today!!!
Each time you feel terrific today write it down. Not necessarily in sentence form. Title it feel good or happy moments, then write them down as they occur. For example:

As you can see the list is to help you be aware of the ‘happy’ people, places, or events. These do not stop all negativity, but they definitely detour those events.
If I were to line all the people I know or who I am associated with, who committed suicide, I know without a doubt each one would say, “I wish I could take it back. I didn’t mean to hurt the ones I love!!! I simply did not see any alternative.”
You see anyone who chooses to take their own life was not thinking how will or do my loved ones feel. Many entitle it selfish, but I can’t. Instead, I choose to use misinformed. Not enough information on who, what, when, where, why, and how to seek, find and enjoy their own happiness!!!
Life is meant to live!!! Why not choose to enjoy the journey? Will every moment be perfect? No! However, keep allowing, visualizing, accomplishing, setting goals and focus on feeling TERRIFIC!!! As long as you create a habitual way of living in the vibration of ‘being happy’ you will always stop, think, feel the bad feeling then quickly switch your emotions to a better vibration. It can be as quick as a snap of your fingers. Each time I feel down and out I quickly find a pen and paper. Writing is my quick way to change emotions. You will find yours!
Take time out of your busy schedule today to pause…pause for suicide victims, pause for the loved ones who have lost someone to suicide. Next find a happy thought for you and share it with the world! Post it, photograph it whatever it takes find the feel good vibration. You can actually help all who have been affected by this empty feeling by teaching others there is an easier way and it is much more fun. Teach yourself and loved ones how to find their own happiness, share what you have learned.
Sadly, I can’t bring back the ones we have already lost! However, I am determined to teach others how to carry on. You can help!!! Glorify your loved ones who have taken their own lives by helping others to make a happier choice!!!
